Plant for the production of SINGLE-LAYER cement-agglomerated tiles
This page represents, in a schematic way, a typical automatic plant for the production of SINGLE-LAYER cement-agglomerated tiles, calibrated and polished for indoor application.

Batching and mixing aggregates and cement
The batching and mixing plant prepares the wet mix of the SINGLE-LAYER through batching of the raw materials (aggregates and cement) and subsequent mixing with water. This mix is then poured into the tank of the automatic dosator of the press.
Tiles Moulding in the press
From the automatic dosator of the press the right amount of wet mix is then poured into the moulds of the hydraulic press, where the moulding of the SINGLE-LAYER tile takes place, by means of high pressure and simultaneous evacuation of the excess of water from the wet mix. This operation is based on an innovative and exclusive project of LONGINOTTI, covered by several patents.
Tiles moving system
and steam-curing chambers
The tiles moulded in the press are then automatically transferred on special steel containers which will hold them during the steam-curing process, which lasts one day and takes place in the apposite chambers. These steel containers are superimposed in piles and such piles are moved by means of a special automatic moving system. This same system manages also the moving of the cured tiles and their conveying to the calibration and polishing line.
Calibration and polishing line
The calibration and polishing line composes of a calibrating machine with diamond disc for the lower part of the tile, of a tile-turning system, of a calibration and polishing line for the upper face of the tile and of one drying path with hot and cold air blowers. Out of the drying path the tiles can be put on wooden pallets and packed.
